The Polycraft Metal Cover Primer 300g is a heavy duty anti-corrosive epoxy enamel primer for rust prone or previously rusted steel surfaces. It provides excellent adhesion to ferrous metals and prepares steel and iron for topcoat painting, suiting fences, roofs, gutters, downpipes, window frames, workshop machinery, railings and gates.
Metal Cover Primer is applied as an aerosol spray, with each layer slightly overlapping the last and a few minutes allowed between coats until full coverage is reached. The surface needs to be free of grease, rust, wax and dirt before application, with a wire brush or sander used to expose sound metal and a lint free cloth used to wipe the surface down for maximum adhesion.
