The Polycraft Metal Cover Gloss White 300g is an epoxy enamel aerosol paint that protects steel surfaces from rust without a primer. It forms a rust inhibiting top coat that resists corrosion and the penetration of corrosive elements, making it suited to fences, roofs, doors, gutters, downpipes, window frames, workshop machinery, railings and gates around the home and shed.
Metal Cover is applied directly to ferrous surfaces such as mild and heavy grade steel once the surface is clean and free of grease, rust, wax and dirt, using a wire brush or sander followed by Polycraft Wax and Grease Remover. Non-ferrous surfaces including aluminium and galvanised iron need a coat of Polycraft Etch Primer first. The aerosol can is shaken for one minute and periodically during use, with each coat sprayed in slightly overlapping passes until full coverage is reached.
