The Polycraft Metal Cover Matte Black 300g is a rust-inhibiting epoxy enamel spray paint formulated for direct application to steel surfaces. It suits ferrous metal, including mild and heavy grade steel, without the need for a primer, and resists both rust formation and the penetration of corrosive elements once cured. This makes it well suited to metal fences, roofs, doors, gutters and downpipes, window frames, workshop machinery and railings and gates around the home and shed.
Metal Cover is applied to clean, dry steel that has been stripped of rust, grease, wax and dirt, while non-ferrous surfaces such as aluminium and galvanised iron require priming with Polycraft Etch Primer first. The aerosol can features an internal mixing ball that should rattle freely and be shaken for a full minute before use, with each coat sprayed slightly overlapping the last until full coverage is achieved.
