The MTN PRO Etch Primer Grey 400mL is an anchoring etch primer for metal and plastic surfaces. It provides excellent adhesion to galvanised steel, electro-galvanised steel and aluminium, and also primes nylon 6 plastic, carbon fibre, epoxy, polyester, acrylate, PVC, PC and ABS. Touch dry in 20 minutes and fully dry within 2 hours, it suits garage doors, metal shutters, aluminium framing and copper pipes.
Etch primer preparation like this helps topcoats bond evenly and resist cracking or peeling over time. Each 400mL can covers a theoretical yield of 2 square metres and withstands temperatures up to 100°C, making it a durable base coat before repainting metal components.
