The Gulf Western Gear Lube 85W-140 GL-5 20 Litre is a mineral based extreme pressure gear oil formulated to API GL-4 and GL-5 standards for manual transmissions and differentials. Its shear stable multigrade formula maintains protection across a wide operating temperature range while improving cold start performance, and sulphur phosphorus extreme pressure additives guard against scuffing, welding and galling in high load, high torque applications. The oil also resists foaming and corrosion, helping gears, hubs and transfer cases run reliably over time.
Gulf Western Gear Lube 85W-140 suits gear boxes, manual transmissions, final drives, hubs and transfer cases used across automotive, transport, earthmoving and agricultural equipment. It is not suitable for use in limited slip differentials, which require a friction modified LS gear oil instead.
Gulf Western Gear Lube 85W-140 also meets Mack GO-H, Eaton and Rockwell requirements and is formulated to meet MB 235.20 requirements, matching approvals specified by several heavy duty gearbox and axle manufacturers. It is supplied in a 20 litre container.
