The Basco Starter Motor to suit Mazda CX-3 CX-5 Mazda2 Mazda3 Mazda6 BSM1151 replaces a worn starter motor that causes no-crank or slow-cranking symptoms. Built with a balanced armature and heavy-duty solenoid, it delivers 1.2kW of cranking power through an 11-tooth pinion with reduction gear for strong, dependable starts in 1.5 litre, 2.0 litre and 2.5 litre petrol engines fitted to Mazda CX-3, CX-5, Mazda2, Mazda3 and Mazda6 models from 2014 to 2026.
Improved dust and water resistance protects the solenoid and armature in tough underbonnet conditions, and the starter is built entirely from brand new components rather than reconditioned parts for long service life. It operates on a 12 volt system with clockwise rotation and a 74mm flange, and is backed by a 2 year or 40,000km warranty, whichever occurs first.
