The Basco Starter Motor to Suit Toyota Hilux Prado HiAce BSM1012 replaces a worn starter causing no-crank or clicking faults in turbo diesel models. This later style solenoid unit suits the Toyota Hilux KUN16R and KUN26R 3.0L 1KD-FTV, LandCruiser Prado KZJ95R to KDJ155R 3.0L 1KZ-TE/1KD-FTV, HiAce KDH200 series 2.5L 2KD-FTV and 3.0L 1KD-FTV, and Daihatsu Delta V138 3.0L 1KD-FTV turbo diesel models. A balanced armature and heavy-duty solenoid combine with improved dust and water resistance to deliver consistent cranking performance in harsh conditions.
The starter motor delivers 2.2kW at 12V, spinning clockwise through a 10 tooth pinion, and uses a 127mm bolt centre mounting with an 82mm flange diameter for a direct OEM-style fit. Basco backs this starter motor with a 2 year or 40,000km warranty, whichever occurs first.
