The Basco Timing Belt Kit with Hydraulic Tensioner to suit Mitsubishi FTO GR & Galant HJ ETK1222HT replaces the timing belt, tensioner and seals on 6A12 2.0L DOHC engines. It suits the Mitsubishi FTO GR 6A12 2.0L DOHC built 10/1994 to 8/2001 (non-Mivec engine) and the Mitsubishi Galant HJ 6A12 2.0L DOHC built 4/1993 to 10/1996. The kit includes a Gates timing belt, hydraulic tensioner, timing tensioner bearing, timing idler bearing, crank oil seal and four cam oil seals, with components sourced from OEM brands including GMB, Gates, Koyo, NTN, INA and NSK.
The hydraulic tensioner maintains correct belt tension, while the Gates belt and OEM-spec seals are built for reliable running at high revolutions. A water pump is not included in this kit but is available as an optional extra to fit alongside the timing belt during a service. The kit is backed by a 2 year or 40,000km warranty.
