The Basco engine timing belt kit with water pump to suit Subaru EJ20 EJ25 ETK1012HTW1 replaces the belt, tensioner, idlers, seals and water pump in one kit. It suits Subaru Forester, Impreza, Liberty and Outback models fitted with the EJ20 2.0 litre or EJ25 2.5 litre SOHC engine, across build dates from 1998 through to 2014. The kit is built around a Gates timing belt and is kitted by Basco's Australian team from components sourced from leading OEM brands including GMB, Koyo, NTN, INA and NSK.
Inside the kit is a hydraulic tensioner complete with bearing, a cogged idler, a flat idler and a flanged idler, three oil seals for the cam and crank, and a clearance gauge for setting tensioner clearance. The included water pump has its thermostat facing forward, though some applications in this vehicle range use a down-facing thermostat. Replacing these wear items alongside the timing belt reduces the risk of future engine damage from a worn tensioner, idler or water pump.
