The Basco Engine Timing Belt Kit ETK1087 is a complete replacement set for Daewoo Lacetti, Leganza, Nubira and Tacuma, and Holden Astra, Calibra and Vectra petrol engines. It includes a Gates timing belt, one timing tensioner bearing, two timing idler bearings and three oil seals for the camshaft and crankshaft, with components sourced from leading OEM brands such as Gates, Koyo, NTN, INA and NSK.
Replacing the timing belt kit as a complete set helps maintain smooth, quiet engine operation and reduces the risk of engine damage from a worn belt or bearing. Since labour makes up a large part of the job, many workshops replace the water pump, hydraulic tensioners and drive belts at the same time as the timing belt kit. The kit is backed by a 2 year or 40,000km warranty.
