The Basco engine timing belt kit to suit Ford Transit VG 2.5D/2.5DT ETK1306 restores timing accuracy on Ford Transit VG diesel engines fitted with an auto tensioner. It suits the Ford Transit VG 2.5D, 2.5DT, 4EB and 4GB 2.5 litre diesel and turbo diesel models built from 1994 to 1997. The kit includes a timing tensioner bearing, a Gates timing belt, a crank oil seal and a cam oil seal, sourced from leading OEM brands such as GMB, Gates, Koyo, NTN, INA and NSK.
Basco manufactures the kit to meet or exceed original equipment specifications and backs it with a 2 year or 40,000km warranty. Replacing the timing belt alongside the water pump is common practice, since both jobs share the same labour-intensive access point, though this kit does not include a water pump.
