The Basco engine timing belt kit includes water pump ETK1070W is engineered to replace the timing belt system on Kia Rio BC A5D 1.5L DOHC models built from July 2000 to December 2002. The kit includes a timing tensioner bearing, timing idler bearing, genuine Gates timing belt, two high temperature camshaft oil seals, a high temperature front crankshaft oil seal and a water pump, giving a complete engine timing belt replacement in one box. Components are sourced from leading global OEM brands such as GMB, Gates, Koyo, NTN, INA and NSK, manufactured to industry leading standards and specifications.
The Kia Rio BC A5D 1.5L engine used two different water pump designs between 2000 and 2005, with the change occurring at the end of 2002, so this kit suits the earlier specification built through to December 2002. Replacing the water pump, tensioner bearing and idler bearing together with the timing belt addresses the main engine wear items in one service, reducing the risk of a repeat labour cost down the track. The kit is backed by a 2 year warranty or 40,000km, whichever occurs first.
