The Basco Engine Timing Belt Kit with Water Pump ETK1008W suits the Holden Astra AH Z18XER, Barina TM F16D4, Cruze JG/JH F18D4 and A16LET, and Trax TJ F18D4. The water pump is driven by the fan belt rather than the timing belt, so it does not sit on the same wear interval as the belt itself.
The kit contains a timing tensioner bearing, timing idler bearing, Gates timing belt, crank oil seal and two cam oil seals, covering the key wearing components of the engine timing system in one purchase. Hydraulic tensioners are available separately as an optional extra for applications that use them. Replacing these components together with the water pump in a single job reduces the labour cost of a repeat visit and lowers the risk of engine damage from a failed timing belt. The kit is backed by a 2 year or 40,000km warranty.
