The Alpine Amplifier 5 Channel S2-A55V is a Hi-Res Audio certified 5-channel car audio amplifier for drivers upgrading an entire vehicle sound system from a single chassis. It delivers 60W RMS at 2 ohms to each front and rear speaker while powering a subwoofer with up to 300W RMS, reproducing frequency response up to 40kHz for clear, detailed playback. For a 3-channel 2-way setup, the amplifier can instead drive a pair of high-performance front speakers at 120W RMS each alongside the 300W RMS subwoofer channel.
Variable bass EQ on the subwoofer channel adds up to 12dB of boost at 50Hz, while variable high and low pass filters between 50Hz and 400Hz let you tune the frequency range reaching each speaker and subwoofer. The amplifier accepts both RCA preamp and speaker-level inputs, so it installs into vehicles with a factory radio as well as aftermarket head units, and speaker-level inputs trigger automatic turn-on without running a separate remote wire.
Side panel controls with removable end caps keep gain and crossover adjustment accessible even when the S2-A55V is mounted under a seat or in a shallow-depth location, while a three-position remote turn-on switch ensures correct integration with factory or aftermarket wiring. Class-D amplification delivers this power output with high efficiency and sustained reliability during extended listening sessions.
