ToolPRO-X: From the Garage to the pit lane with Jonesy
Overview
Luke Jones (Jonesy) is the man behind The Jonesy Express - a Sydney based filmmaker, content creator, car enthusiast, dad, and professional overthinker of “quick” 30 minute jobs.
He creates automotive content centred around project cars, garage life, and the reality of trying to build something properly with your own hands.
His main project is his R34 Skyline Time Attack build, a car that started as a street/track toy and has slowly turned into a full blown life decision.
He also daily drive is a GR Yaris, a car that has racked up over 100,000 km of adventure, fun, core memories, and lessons along the way.
Luke grew up around tools, sheds, farm jobs, and project cars, and much of what he knows comes from learning alongside his dad and grandfather, as well as years of making mistakes in the garage.
At the heart of it all whether he’s in front of the camera or behind it, in the garage or with his family, Luke is trying to build a life with purpose.
One shaped by cars, storytelling, getting his hands dirty, and a bit of chaos, with the goal of using what he learns and creates to give back to others trying to do the same.
Products
ToolPRO-X Metal Modular Storage System
WHY: My ToolPRO-X toolkit is the first thing I reach for when I go to the track, service my car, or fit a new modification to the Skyline. In the past, I’ve thrown all my tools into a crate because I didn’t have any decent-sized storage. It worked, but it wasn’t exactly organised.
TIP: With the ToolPRO-X 3-drawer toolbox, you can keep everything in one spot - pick it up, put it in the back of the car, and take it with you, without resorting to plastic tubs.

ToolPRO-X Tool Kit 98 Piece
WHY: The ToolPRO-X 98-piece toolkit gives you a solid range of spanners, sockets, ratchets, and Allen keys in one case, making it useful across a wide range of makes and models. It gives you the ability to handle everything from basic servicing and maintenance through to fitting new parts, making small repairs, and prepping the car for a weekend drive or track day.
TIP: Use 6-point sockets wherever possible on stubborn bolts. They grip the flat sides of the bolt better, helping to reduce the chance of rounding - especially on older cars.

ToolPRO-X Socket Set 3/8" Drive Metric/SAE 42 Piece
WHY: The ToolPRO-X 42-piece 3/8" socket set is ideal when you need a compact socket kit that still gives you the ability to work on a range of different makes and models. Deep sockets are especially useful for reaching recessed nuts, longer bolts, studs, and awkward engine bay or suspension bolts where shallow sockets won’t fit.
TIP: Use a deep socket when there’s an exposed thread or a stud sticking through the nut. A shallow socket can bottom out before fully gripping the nut, but a deep socket slides over the extra thread and seats properly - giving you a safer, cleaner grip.

ToolPRO-X Spanner Set Metric 25 Piece
WHY: The ToolPRO-X spanner set covers sizes from 6 mm through to 32 mm, allowing you to work across a wide range of makes and models - from small engine bay bolts through to larger suspension, steering, and driveline nuts and bolts.
TIP: For extra leverage, you can hook the ring end of a second spanner through the open end of the one you’re using to create a longer handle. Just be careful - this adds a lot more force, so make sure the spanner is seated properly on the bolt to avoid rounding it off… or ending up eating a combination spanner for lunch.

ToolPRO-X Plier Set 3 Piece
WHY: The ToolPRO-X pliers set covers the common jobs you’ll run into on a car, with long nose pliers for tight spaces, side cutters for trimming cable ties or wire, and multi-grips for gripping, bending, holding, and general use.
TIP: Use the long nose pliers when removing split pins, clips, or small washers in a tight engine bay so you can stop small parts from disappearing into the abyss.

ToolPRO-X Torque Wrench
WHY: A torque wrench takes the guesswork out of tightening bolts, so you’re not relying on “feels tight enough.” It’s also important for wheel nuts, suspension components, certain engine parts, and brake components - or anything with a manufacturer torque spec.
TIP: Always wind the torque wrench back down to its lowest setting before storing it. This helps protect the internal spring and keeps it more accurate over time.

Summary
Between those five, you’ve got a solid setup for basic maintenance, quick checks, tightening bolts, changing parts, and making sure the car is ready before heading out on track or into the garage.
The socket set and spanners cover most of the common jobs you’ll run into, the pliers are handy for clamps, clips, hoses, and general fiddly tasks, and the torque wrench is a must-have for making sure important bolts are tightened properly…especially things like wheel nuts before a track session.
This setup isn’t just for the track. It’s also perfect for the weekend warrior working on their car in the garage - fitting new parts, doing basic servicing, or just trying to keep their hand tools organised without needing a massive workshop. Even around the house, having a proper toolkit in one place makes life easier when those small jobs pop up.
Whether it’s in the garage, around the house, or in pit lane, ToolPRO-X has you covered.
