The UNIMIG Gold Tungsten Electrodes 2.4mm 10 Pieces are WL15 1.5% lanthanated tungsten electrodes designed for TIG welding on steel and stainless steel. Classified AWS EWLa-1.5, they contain a minimum of 97.80% tungsten and 1.30 to 1.70% lanthanum, giving excellent arc starting, a low burn-off rate and good arc stability. Lanthanated tungsten shares the conductivity characteristics of 2% thoriated tungsten, making it a popular non-radioactive alternative for general purpose TIG work.

These tungsten electrodes run on AC or DC electrode negative with a pointed end, or can be balled for use with AC sine wave power sources, and hold a sharpened point well when welding steel and stainless steel on DC or square wave AC. The gold tip colour code identifies the WL15 1.5% lanthanated grade for quick identification in the workshop.
