The UNIMIG Zirconiated Tungsten Electrode 1.6mm 10 Pack PTR0006-16 is a set of 10 AC TIG welding electrodes, each 1.6mm in diameter. Classified as AWS EWZr-1, the zirconiated tungsten contains a minimum of 99.10 per cent tungsten and 0.15 to 0.40 per cent zirconium, producing a stable ARC that resists tungsten spitting. The electrode retains a balled tip with high resistance to contamination, and its current-carrying capacity is equal to or greater than thoriated tungsten.
These electrodes suit AC welding applications and are not recommended for DC welding.
