The UNIMIG HyperARC 316L Stainless Steel Electrodes 2.6mm 2kg U63023 is a stick welding rod for joining 316 and 316L stainless steel. It also suits other 300 series stainless steels including 301, 302, 303, 304 and 304L, giving fabricators a single electrode for mixed stainless jobs. A low carbon formulation minimises carbide precipitation, giving welds high resistance to intergranular corrosion in chemical and marine environments.
HyperARC 316L electrodes strike a stable, concentrated ARC that delivers high penetration with less spatter, reducing clean up time after each pass. The 2.6mm diameter rods are supplied in a 2kg pack and meet the AS/NZS 4854: ES316L-16 and AWS/ASME SFA5.4: E316L-16 classifications, making them well suited to fabrication and repair work on molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels.
