The UNIMIG HyperARC 309L Stainless Steel Electrodes 2.6mm 2kg, U63014 is a stick electrode for welding 309 and 309L stainless steels and dissimilar metal joins. It meets the AS/NZS 4854 ES309L-16 and AWS/ASME SFA5.4 E309L-16 classifications, and its low carbon content reduces the risk of carbide precipitation while its buffer layer helps prevent brittle weld zones when joining mild steel to stainless steel.
HyperARC 309L delivers excellent ARC stability with a concentrated ARC, high penetration and less spatter, making it suited to buffering prior to hard facing and joining dissimilar 300 series stainless steels as well as some 400 series grades.
