The UNIMIG ER70S-2 TIG Filler Rod 2.4mm 5kg is a micro-alloyed TIG filler wire for GTAW welding of unalloyed steels using argon shielding gas. Its titanium and aluminium micro-alloy content makes it well suited to single-pass welding of galvanised, pre-painted, rusty and dirty steels, as well as low alloy steel work in pipelines, boilers and tank construction. The rod also suits welding thin metal plates and repair welds.
This copper-coated mild steel rod is supplied as a 5kg pack at 2.4mm diameter with a triple deoxidised finish, carrying the ER70S-2 classification. It is intended for fabrication, sheet metal work and pipe welding where a clean, consistent TIG feed is needed.
