The UNIMIG 5356 TIG Filler Rod 3.2mm 5kg AT5356-3.2-5 is a triple shaved aluminium TIG wire for welding cast and wrought aluminium in the 3000, 5000 and 6000 series. Also known as an aluminium welding rod, this alloy is often called marine grade because of its widespread use in the marine industry, and it's just as common in general fabrication work. The major element in 5356 wire is 5% magnesium, giving the rod excellent weldability and corrosion resistance.
Supplied in a 5kg tube, the 3.2mm diameter rod suits high-volume TIG welding jobs on aluminium components, tanks and marine fittings where saltwater resistance matters.
