The UNIMIG 316L TIG Filler Rod 1.6mm 5kg TI316L-1.6 is a high-quality low carbon TIG wire used for TIG welding 316 and 316L stainless steel alloys. It is also suitable for welding other 300 grade stainless steels such as 302 and 304 grades, and this rod can be used for gas oxy/acetylene welding as well as TIG processes. Supplied in a 5kg tube, it meets the AWS A5.9: ER316L and AS/NZS ISO 14343: W 316L classifications for stainless steel filler wire.
The low carbon content of this filler wire reduces the risk of carbide precipitation, giving it high resistance to intergranular corrosion. This makes the rod well suited to fabrication work in chemical equipment and marine environments where resistance to pitting is important.
