The UNIMIG 220A Spool Gun, PLSP240A is engineered for maximum performance when MIG welding softer wires, such as aluminium. Its Binzel style design positions the wire spool and drive system right at the torch, shortening the wire path and reducing the drag that causes kinks, deformation and birdnesting. A clear plastic housing gives full visibility of the wire feed system in action, and the motor is rated for a minimum service life of 1,000 hours.
The 220A output welds wire up to 1.2mm thick, with a duty cycle of 60% at 220A on CO2 and 60% at 200A on mixed gas. The Duraflex performance cable system offers outstanding flexibility along with high heat and abrasion resistance, while the 6m torch lead gives reach around the workpiece without repositioning the welder.
