The ToolPRO Tap and Die Set Imperial 24 Piece restores threaded fasteners that would otherwise be lost to corrosion, cross-threading or abuse. A stripped or threaded nut or bolt can halt a job without warning, but rather than buying a replacement, a tap and die set cuts new threads into metal in minutes. Taps cut internal female threads into holes; dies cut external male threads onto rods and bolts. Either way, you can clean a damaged thread or create a new one where the original has failed.
The set includes a die holder and tap wrench with knurled handles for confident grip and control as you slowly cut threads into the metal. All components live in a durable steel case with moulded plastic trays that keep every piece in its place.
