The ToolPRO Pitman Arm Puller is made from drop forged steel with zinc plating for superior hardness and corrosion resistance. The black oxide threaded shaft accepts a 17mm or 11/16 inch spanner for applying controlled pressure. This simple tool prevents damage during pitman arm removal and saves considerable effort.
Before use, spray penetrant around the spline and fastener nut on older vehicles and allow time to work. Remove the fastener nut, apply lubricant to the pressure screw, position the puller over the arm and use a spanner to apply tension. Strike the pressure screw ball with a hammer—repeating the tighten and strike motion until the arm releases.
