The ToolPRO Harmonic Balancer Puller Kit 13 Piece comes with everything needed to pull a harmonic balancer safely from an engine. The kit includes several different sized bolts to suit a variety of balancers, the centre shaft made from high strength alloy steel, and the puller itself designed for both two and three bolt applications with different bolt spacing.
A complete engine overhaul eventually requires harmonic balancer removal, and attempting it without the correct tool can damage the component or the crankshaft. This universal puller lines up with the two or three bolt holes on the front of the balancer, which vary across different engine designs. Using the correct size bolts to thread into the holes holds the puller in place, then the centre shaft is threaded through the puller body to brace against the loosened centre bolt. Tightening the puller's centre shaft then safely slips the harmonic balancer off the shaft without damage.
