The Thinkware Parking Radar Module to suit Q1000 U1000 & X1000 U4KRADAR extends parking surveillance for compatible Thinkware dash cams. Pairing the module with a Q1000, U1000 or X1000 dash cam extends parking surveillance duration while reducing power consumption in Energy Saving Mode 2.0. It mounts on the front windscreen next to the dash cam and detects motion using radar, with a detection range of approximately 7 metres across an 80 degree horizontal and 35 degree vertical field. When motion is detected, the dash cam wakes and prepares to save an event clip before any impact.
If an impact is detected, a 20 second video, 10 seconds before and 10 seconds after the impact, is saved to a dedicated folder on the MicroSD card. When no impact occurs, the dash cam resumes Energy Saving Mode 2.0 without saving footage, extending parking surveillance time up to 99.6 hours or 4 days. The radar module connects to the dash cam with a single cable and uses an adhesive mount for simple windscreen installation. Parking surveillance mode requires a Hard Wiring Cable (HWC) and installation.
