The Thinkware iVolt Max External Battery IVOLTMAX is a hardwired LiFePO4 battery pack that extends dash cam parking mode run time. It delivers a 7,500mAh (96Wh) capacity, giving Thinkware 2-channel dash cams up to 27 hours of continuous recording in Motion Detection Parking Mode or up to 960 hours in Energy Saving Mode. Fast charging takes as little as 55 minutes, while standard charging completes in 100 minutes without affecting battery lifespan.

A built-in Bluetooth companion app lets you check the battery's charge status, performance and temperature from a smartphone. Smart charging circuitry with a Protection Circuit Module (PCM) guards against overcharge, over-discharge, sudden voltage changes and excess heat, automatically cutting power if the cell skin temperature exceeds 80°C. The LiFePO4 battery chemistry is more stable than lithium-ion and offers a service life around three times longer.

The iVolt Max External Battery is hardwired directly to the vehicle's fuse box (hardwiring cable sold separately) and suits all Thinkware dash cam models. It can be installed in most petrol and electric vehicles, though some EVs without a traditional fuse box, such as Tesla models, cannot be hardwired.
