The SCA Oil Filter SCO2648 is engineered to protect your engine from contamination and wear. Oil does far more than lubricate moving parts: it cools the engine by dispersing heat, stabilises operating temperatures to prevent hotspots, and captures microscopic particles of steel that wear away from cylinder walls during normal running. These contaminants are transported away from moving components and trapped in the filter, so replacing the oil filter at service is critical to prevent new oil from being instantly fouled by accumulated debris.
SCA Oil Filters are designed to fit as direct replacements for original equipment filters across most domestically sold and imported vehicles. The silicone anti drain-back seal prevents oil from flowing backwards through the filter housing, ensuring even oil distribution throughout the engine even on cold starts when oil is thick and slow to flow. Heavy-wall construction houses the high grade filtering media and stands up to the pressure swings of normal operation.
