The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA451M is engineered to purify cabin air by filtering particles as small as 0.3 microns, including bacteria and viruses. The medical-grade N99 media achieves a 99.7% efficiency rating at capturing airborne contaminants, keeping passengers breathing cleaner air on every drive.
The MicroShield media comprises three layers working together. A pre-filter with anti-viral properties sits first, followed by an activated carbon layer that neutralises odours and exhaust fumes, and finally an electrostatically charged layer that captures fine particles. Anti-bacterial and anti-viral agents embedded in the media eliminate trapped pathogens and prevent their regrowth within the filter. This multi-layered approach also traps pollen and allergens, reducing symptoms like sneezing and congestion for allergy sufferers.
Installation is straightforward, with the direct fit design slotting into standard cabin air filter locations under the bonnet, below the centre console, or behind the glove box. Ryco recommends replacement every 15,000 kilometres or once per year to maintain optimal performance.
