The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA435M reduces dust, pollen, bacteria and exhaust gases entering the cabin through the vehicle's heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Its multilayered media combines an anti-viral pre-filter with natural polyphenol extracts, an activated carbon layer that neutralises odours such as soot and exhaust gases, and a medical grade melt-blown electrostatically charged layer delivering N99 filtration at 99.7% efficiency at 0.3 microns, tested to ISO11155-2:2009.
Regular replacement every 15,000 km or once a year prevents the cabin air filter clogging with dirt and other contaminants, which can reduce airflow into the vehicle interior and draw trapped particles back through a blocked filter. Cabin air filters are commonly located behind the glove box or under the bonnet, though position varies between makes and models, and the direct fit design allows quick, tool-free replacement of the old filter.
