The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA248M is engineered to protect vehicle occupants from airborne biological contaminants and pollutants entering through the cabin ventilation system. Its N99 medical grade media is rated to capture up to 99.7% of airborne bacteria and viruses as small as 0.3 micron, a scale far finer than a human hair at roughly 90 microns.
The MicroShield media uses a three layer construction: an anti-viral pre-filter, an activated carbon layer that neutralises odours and blocks gases such as exhaust fumes, and an electrostatically charged layer for fine particle filtration. Embedded anti-bacterial and anti-viral agents work to stop trapped organisms growing within the filter media. This layered approach also traps pollen and allergy-triggering particles, as well as everyday dust and dirt, helping keep the cabin air and interior surfaces cleaner.
Measuring 178mm long, 185mm wide and 30mm high, the RCA248M is a direct fit replacement filter located behind the glove box on applicable vehicles, replacing the factory unit without modification.
