The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA194M is engineered to reduce particles, allergens and gases entering a vehicle's interior through the HVAC system. Its multilayered media combines an anti-viral pre-filter layer, an activated carbon odour barrier and a medical grade melt-blown electrostatically charged layer, delivering N99 filtration tested to ISO11155-2:2009 with 99.7% efficiency at 0.3 microns. The anti-viral layer uses natural polyphenol extracts to target airborne virus strains such as H1N1 and H3N2, along with bacteria and common allergens, while the activated carbon layer neutralises odours from soot and exhaust gases.
Cabin air filters like this one are recommended for replacement every 15,000 km or at least once a year, since a clogged filter restricts airflow into the cabin and can allow trapped contaminants to be drawn through.
