The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA185M is engineered to safeguard vehicle occupants from biological contaminants carried in outside air. Also known as a pollen filter, it uses Ryco's MicroShield media in three layers, an anti-viral pre-filter, an activated carbon layer and an electrostatically charged layer, to capture particles down to 0.3 micron, smaller than the diameter of a human hair at around 90 micron. The N99 medical grade media is rated at up to 99.7% efficiency at 0.3 micron, with anti-bacterial and anti-viral agents built in to stop trapped bacteria and viruses multiplying inside the filter.
Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA185M also acts as an odour barrier, with the activated carbon layer neutralising odours and blocking airborne chemicals such as ozone and exhaust gases, while trapping pollen, dust and dirt that would otherwise circulate inside the cabin. Outside dimensions are 226mm long, 202mm wide and 17mm high, fitting behind the glove box on the passenger side.
