The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA152M is a multilayered cabin air filter, also known as a pollen filter, that reduces particles entering a vehicle's heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. It targets contaminants such as dust, pollen, fungus, bacteria and exhaust gases that can affect occupant health over time.
The MicroShield media combines an anti-viral layer using natural polyphenol extracts to eliminate airborne virus (H1N1/H3N2), bacteria and allergens, an activated carbon layer that neutralises odours such as soot or exhaust gases, and a medical grade melt-blown electrostatically charged layer delivering N99 filtration with 99.7% efficiency at 0.3 microns, tested to ISO11155-2:2009. Ryco recommends replacing the cabin air filter every 15,000 km or at least once a year, as a clogged filter reduces airflow into the vehicle interior and can allow trapped contaminants to be drawn through. This is a direct fit replacement filter designed for straightforward removal and installation of the original unit.
