The Ryco N99 MicroShield Cabin Air Filter RCA149M is engineered to protect vehicle occupants from airborne contaminants, bacteria and viruses. The medical-grade filtration media captures particles as small as 0.3 micron, smaller than a human hair, with 99.7% efficiency and is tested to ISO 11155-2:2009 standards.
MicroShield media is built from three distinct layers: a pre-filter with anti-viral properties, an activated carbon layer that neutralises odours and gases such as ozone and exhaust fumes, and an electrostatically charged layer for particle capture. Anti-bacterial and anti-viral agents embedded in the media eliminate pathogens from the airflow and stop them growing once trapped, while the carbon layer also blocks dust and soot.
Seasonal allergy sufferers benefit from the filter's ability to capture pollen and allergens, easing sneezing, coughing and congestion. Ryco recommends replacement every 15,000 kilometres or once a year, whichever comes first, and the direct-fit design allows fast, tool-free replacement.
