The Renogy Rover Li 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller RNG-CTRL-RVR40 is an MPPT solar regulator for 12V and 24V off-grid systems, including RVs, caravans and boats. It uses an intelligent MPPT algorithm with tracking efficiency of up to 99% and peak conversion efficiency of 98%, maximising the energy harvested from the solar array before it reaches the battery. The controller automatically detects 12V or 24V system voltage and applies 4-stage charging (bulk, absorption, float and equalisation) to lead acid batteries, while monitoring battery status in real time to prevent overcharge and overdischarge.

The Renogy Rover Li 40A MPPT Solar Charge Controller accepts a maximum PV input of 520W on a 12V system or 1,040W on a 24V system, with a solar input voltage range of 15VDC to 100VDC. Its die-cast aluminium housing dissipates heat effectively, and the unit is rated IP32 with multiple electronic protections against overcharging, over-discharging, overload, short circuit and reverse polarity. It can also revive over-discharged lithium batteries by sending a small current to bring them out of protection mode.
