The Renogy Rover Li 20 Amp MPPT Solar Charge Controller RNG-CTRL-RVR20 manages solar charging for 12V and 24V off-grid battery systems in RVs, caravans and boats. Using an intelligent MPPT algorithm with up to 99% tracking efficiency, it draws the maximum available power from the solar array and delivers a 20A rated charge current while automatically detecting the battery voltage. The controller monitors battery status in real time, guarding against overcharge and overdischarge to extend battery life.
Eight electronic protections cover overcharging, over-discharging, overload and short circuit conditions, and the controller can activate an over-discharged lithium battery with a small current to bring it out of protection mode triggered by the BMS. Auto-on/off, timer, manual, test and always-on load control modes suit different system setups, and an RS485 communication port supports remote monitoring. The package includes a remote temperature sensor and four mounting brackets for installation.
