The Renogy Bluetooth Module for Rover Solar Charge Controllers BT-2 connects to the RJ45 communication port on compatible Renogy devices for wireless monitoring of solar and DC-DC charging systems. Bluetooth 4.2 with BLE technology gives a fast, uninterrupted link to the Renogy DC Home smartphone app, letting users check real-time and historical data and change system parameters from a phone or tablet. It uses the RS485 communication protocol and is compatible with the Rover Elite MPPT solar charge controller, Renogy Smart Lithium batteries and the Dual DC-DC MPPT battery charger, with a communication range up to 25m (82ft).
The module measures a compact 67.3 x 35 x 14mm, weighs just 130g and carries an IP54 rating against dust and splashing water, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to 85°C. It runs on a 5V or 12V input, ships with a 5m connection cable and communicates at a fixed baud rate of 9,600bps. The BT-2 is backed by a 1 year warranty.
