The Polycraft Rust Converter 400g is a one-step aerosol treatment that chemically converts surface rust into a primed, protective coating on metal. It suits interior, exterior, automotive, industrial, agricultural, marine and domestic applications, reaching into tight nooks and crannies as well as covering large flat areas in a single process.
Application starts by removing loose rust with a wire brush, sandpaper or grinder, then wiping the surface with wax and grease remover. The can is shaken until the mixing ball rattles and sprayed in overlapping passes around 25 to 40cm from the surface, building three to four light coats with five minutes drying time between each. The treated surface is touch dry within 20 minutes and ready for top-coating with enamel or acrylic paint after 3 hours, or 24 hours where a two-pack finish is used.
