The Nulon Pro-Strength Rear Main Seal Stop Leak 500mL is a concentrated engine treatment for vehicles losing oil through a worn or hardened rear main seal. It revitalises dried, hardened and shrunken oil seals, helping to reduce external oil leaks without engine or transmission disassembly. The formula also helps repair worn valve stem seals, cutting the blue exhaust smoke some engines produce on start-up, take-off or when decelerating downhill. It suits all petrol, diesel and LPG engines and is safe to mix with mineral, semi-synthetic and full synthetic engine oils.
To use, add one 500mL bottle for every 5 litres of engine oil and idle the engine for at least one minute, ideally straight after an oil change. It may take up to 150km or two days of driving to reach maximum benefit, and excessively worn or damaged seals may not respond and will require replacement.
