The Narva Battery & Starter Cable 100A 8mm x 7m Red is a single-core automotive cable rated for 100A, built for battery and starter wiring in vehicles and vessels. Made from high purity oxygen-free copper and insulated with RoHS compliant PVC, it resists heat, abrasion and chemical exposure during installation.
The cable carries a peak rating of 100A for up to 5 minutes on a 60% duty cycle, with a continuous rating of 74A at 30 degrees Celsius ambient temperature, and performance reduces at higher temperatures or when cables are bundled together. An appropriately sized fuse matched to the application should be used, as an oversized fuse will not provide suitable circuit protection. Automotive 8mm cable differs from 240V electrical 8mm cable, with ratings that vary significantly between the two.
