The Maxtrax Fuse Shackle MTXFS is designed to be the weakest link in a Maxtrax recovery system, engineered to fail in a controlled way before other components are damaged. It has a minimum breaking strength of 7,000kg, giving a predictable failure point if the recovery system is overloaded during a vehicle recovery. Measuring 550mm in length, the soft shackle has no metal components, removing the risk of metal projectiles that can occur with traditional bow shackles.
The soft, flexible rope construction reduces wear on connected recovery points and ropes compared to rigid metal shackles, and its lightweight design makes it quick to connect and disconnect during a recovery.
