The K&N Performance Gold Oil Filter HP-1002 (Interchangeable with Z418) is a spin-on oil filter engineered for routine oil changes on petrol engine vehicles and agricultural equipment. Its pleated synthetic-blend filtration media removes most harmful contaminants while maintaining a consistent flow of oil to the engine, and it is designed to operate with full synthetic, conventional and blended motor oils.
A welded one-inch hex nut, part of K&N's Wrench-Off design, allows fast removal even in tight engine bays, and the nut is cross drilled so it can take a locking wire in racing or off-road applications. The heavy-duty canister and anti-drainback valve are built for outstanding durability across the service intervals recommended by vehicle manufacturers, while the bypass valve opens between 11 and 14 PSI to keep oil flowing if the filter media becomes restricted.
The K&N HP-1002 suits petrol engine applications including the Ford EcoSport, Volkswagen Gol Sedan and Lexus ES300, as well as agricultural equipment such as the New Holland TC30, and it is interchangeable with the Ryco Z418 filter.
