The K&N Racing Air Filter KNKA1011R is a two-layer cotton gauze air filter built for closed-course competition use on racing motorcycles, not for street riding. Unlike K&N's street replacement filters, this racing filter uses just two layers of cotton to lower air restriction further, though fuel management modifications are necessary to suit the reduced restriction. Its triangular shape and flexible frame design allow it to seat into the specific intake cavity of the application it replaces, with a 246mm outside length and a 33mm filter height.
In everyday racing use the reduced restriction supports gains in horsepower and acceleration compared with a stock filter, while the washable, reusable cotton gauze media removes the ongoing cost of replacement paper filters. The filter is supplied pre-oiled and ready to fit, and when re-oiling is needed only around 9ml of filter oil is required to restore the cotton gauze's filtration efficiency.
This racing filter suits motorcycle applications and is interchangeable with Kawasaki part number 110130041. It is backed by a one year limited warranty and, because it is intended for closed-course competition, it is not a replacement for street-legal motorcycle air filters.
