The K&N Motorcycle Air Filter KNHA1004 is a washable, reusable cotton gauze air filter engineered to replace the stock filter on motorcycle engines. Built as a tapered conical element with a 102mm large end diameter and a 70mm base inside diameter, it uses application-specific seamless sealing beads and custom seals for a precision OEM-style fit in place of the original paper filter.
Multiple layers of oiled cotton gauze, treated with a tacking agent, trap dirt and contaminants while allowing higher airflow than a typical disposable paper filter. This increased airflow can help improve horsepower, acceleration and throttle response without typically requiring fuel-management modifications, while the flexible frame design and secure sealing bead keep the filter correctly seated during riding.
Suits motorcycle applications fitted with the HA-1004 filter size, and is interchangeable with BMC FM37416 and Honda 17210MEL000 air filters. Unlike a disposable paper element, this filter is supplied pre-oiled and is designed to be washed and reused rather than replaced at each service.
