The K&N Typhoon Air Intake System KN69-0015TR is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminium tube air induction kit designed to fit some Acura RSX and Honda CR-V models. It replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing, smoothing and straightening airflow so the engine can draw in a larger volume of air than the factory intake allows, delivering more usable power and acceleration across the RPM range.
The system comes with a black rubber topped K&N high-flow air filter made from washable cotton gauze that installs into the original air box location, directing air through a red powder coated aluminium intake tube into the engine's throttle body. The tube accommodates the factory IA bypass control thermal valve, air temperature sensor and crankcase vent hose, and the kit includes 6 stainless steel clamps and 1 coupler for a straightforward fit. Installation typically takes 90 minutes or less, and the oversized cone shaped air filter can run for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions.
