The Gulf Western SYN-TS ATF 4 Litre is a full synthetic automatic transmission fluid for most modern and older step change automatic transmissions. It covers a wide range of applications including DX-6, DX-3, Ford Mercon V and Toyota WS, so one fluid can replace several OEM-specific products in the workshop. The spec table on this page lists the full range of international specifications it meets.
High shear stability and enhanced durability allow drain intervals of up to 120,000km, subject to the manufacturer's recommended drain interval, while enhanced friction modifiers and improved sludge and varnish control help keep gear changes smooth over the life of the fluid. These properties support reliable performance in everyday driving, towing and higher load conditions where transmission fluid works hardest.
Gulf Western SYN-TS ATF suits the majority of the world's step change automatic transmissions across passenger and light commercial vehicles calling for DX-6, DX-3, ATF+4, Ford Mercon V, Mercon LV, Toyota WS or Allison C4 fluid. It is not suitable for CVT and DCT transmissions, which require a dedicated transmission fluid.
