The Gulf Western Turboil SAE 40 Mineral Engine Oil 205 Litre 30005 is a low ash, mineral monograde engine oil formulated for two-stroke Detroit Diesel engines. It also suits four-stroke equipment built before 1991 where a monograde oil is called for, making it a mineral engine oil shoppers also search for as a "straight weight" oil.
The low ash formulation helps minimise deposit build-up on valve components, keeping ash content below 0.8% so it stays within the limit required by two-stroke Detroit Diesel engines that must not run a multigrade oil.
