The Gates Water Blanking Cap 16mm (5/8 inch) Single GBC16 blocks off unused heater or coolant ports in a vehicle's engine cooling system. Moulded from EPDM rubber, it resists automotive coolants, corrosion inhibitors, cooling water and air across an operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C (-40°F to 257°F).
This water blanking cap also suits vacuum applications where no oil or fuel vapour is present, making it a practical option for sealing off redundant vacuum lines during engine bay work. The 16mm (5/8 inch) size fits single-port sealing tasks, and its rubber construction provides a tight, reusable seal without special tools.
